Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and training and development.
Essential Job Duties:
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all plant personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Coordinates human resources procedures to initiate benefits such as defined contribution and benefits plan, disability insurance, medical and life insurance; communicates benefit information to employees.
Assists with recruiting applicants by maintaining liaison with schools, associations, and other recruiters; manages new hire process including background screenings; conducts new-employee orientations.
Handles employee relations counseling; recommends solutions to administration when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends; helps employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation.
Conducts exit interviews with staff to determine if corrective action may retain valued staff.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Gathers payroll hours of personnel and submits to corporate office; verifies processed payroll and distributes paychecks.
Assists corporate office with the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action programs.
Participates in quality assurance and workplace safety activities.
Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the companys standards.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Communicates clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Effectively tailors the message to the needs of the audience.
Establishes goals and objectives which are specific, measurable, achievable and relevant.
Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor degree preferred.
Three to five years of HR experience preferred.
Three years of recruiting experience required.
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration in a production environment.
Professional in human resources (PHR) certification preferred.
