Oxbow Argentina Recognized for its work in education
ENSENADA - Oxbow Argentina’s Copetro Calcining Plant received the Silver Mate award in recognition for its contribution to education in the state of Buenos Aires. The prize was awarded by The Capital – a well-known political, economic and financial publication which is celebrating its 13th anniversary.
“This award is very significant for our company and just serves as confirmation that we are moving in the right direction. The credit goes to our community, laboratory and engineering teams who voluntarily participated and supported these activities designed to strengthen education, and generating a quantifiable difference in the quality of the students, teachers and directors of the schools in our region,” said Marcelo Jaworski, General Director of Oxbow Argentina.
The Silver Tea award is handed out by the newspaper The Capital newspaper to personalities in the region that are dedicated to their work, year after year, including: companies (large, medium and small), corporations, nongovernmental agencies, work cooperatives, diverse agencies and institutions that provide value to society, the development and progress of the capital region (La Plata, Berisso, and Ensenada).
The Capital, opened and managed for the past 13 years by Hernando Arias, is part of the Buenos Aires Publication Group, a holding company which, also owns the daily newspaper La Provincia Hoy (a monthly political publication which reaches 134 cities in the state of Buenos Aires) and the magazine To Be from La Plata, with exclusive circulation in the city of La Plata.
