Job Description: 

Job Summary: Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in terminal maintenance, repair of conveyors, dozers, front – and loaders, and any special maintenance projects. Assures work orders are issued to each maintenance and operational personnel at the start of the workday, advertising terminal tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Generate purchase orders for terminal purchases.
• Order parts from vendors.
• Responsible for parts/tool inventory.
• Maintain and prioritize a list of maintenance items in need of repair using OHMS.
• Schedule terminal repairs using vessel load schedule as a guide to minimize any loading delays.
• Issue daily work orders with listed parts needed for completion of task to terminal personnel at the start of daily shift.
• Track, update an issue preventative maintenance work orders with parts needed.
• Ensure employees fill out all assigned daily work orders by end of shift.
• Update status of assigned work orders daily, entered data to web-based maintenance program, OHMS.
• Special projects – assure all repair parts are on site prior to issuing work orders, securing estimates and cost quotes as needed.
• Maintain daily timesheets on maintenance personnel.
• With support of the Maintenance Manager develop and maintain PM schedule for applicable equipment.
• Assist Maintenance Manager and planning of capital projects.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance coordinating experience.
• Mechanical experience maintaining mobile equipment and conveyors.

Language and Communication Skills:
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Ability to communicate with courtesy and tact. When furnishing or obtaining information from vendors, contractors, fellow workers and other departments.
• Will have regular contact with outside contacts, including vendors, contractors and engineers.

Independent Judgment:
• Works under general direction and plans work to attain Departmental and Company objectives.
• Makes many decisions and refers only unusual problems to the Maintenance Manager.

Computer Skills:
• Basic understanding and application of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Web based reporting programs.

Other Skills and Abilities:
• Must possess excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and repair abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities/task.
