Job Summary (Purpose): Maintenance Mechanic (M3) is responsible for installing new equipment, maintaining existing equipment, repairing all equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proficient at repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, dozers, front end loaders, excavators.
Proficient at repairing and maintaining conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems.
Proficient at repairing and maintaining fleet vehicles.
Proficient at repairing and maintaining utility equipment, such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, generators.
Responsible for parts/tool inventory.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, dozers, front end loaders, excavators.
Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, fleet vehicles.
Minimum 1 year of experience maintaining and repairing lawnmowers, weed eaters, generators.
Language and Communication Skills:
Must be able to read and write in English.
Ability to communicate with courtesy and tact.
Works under general direction and plans work to attain Departmental and Company objectives.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
Detail oriented, with a strong sense of time management, the ability to plan and prioritize according to the changing needs of the business.
Basic understanding and application of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Web based reporting programs.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must possess excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and repair abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities/task.
Must demonstrate the ability to work well with others.
