Summary:

Oxbow Activated Carbon LLC provides one of the most diverse lines of activated carbon solutions backed by expert technical support and knowledgeable customer service. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL, the company provides high quality purification solutions to more than 100 end market applications across North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the rest of the world. Our activated carbon business is experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking individuals who will propel our business to even higher levels of success. Oxbow is currently looking for a Regional Technical Manager to join our team in Courbevoie, France who is strategically focused on driving Oxbow’s activated carbon business results. This individual will lead the company’s technical efforts in Asia/Pacific region to support aggressive growth targets. This individual has the highest level of integrity and should be able to effectively execute programs and creatively achieve objectives.

Essential Job Duties:
• Have an understanding of the activated carbon competition, industry trends, market forces affecting the business and product/application needs
• Develop appropriate skill sets and an eagerness to deliver innovative customer solutions to achieve objectives.
• Lead new product development efforts with vision for possible solutions managed through a rigorous stage gate review process.
• Implement Quality Assurance program to ensure compliance with customer expectations
• Utilize technical expertise to develop application specific technical tools which will help the sales team be more effective in the field and work with the sales team to ensure the tools are understood and used
• Possess the ability to influence and gain alignment with both external and internal key decision makers as well as all levels of the organization
• Utilize your strong technical and industry standing to grow our reputation as a solution provider in the industry.
• Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned
• Works with each direct report to establish goals and monitor progress.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong technical leadership skills required. Ability to lead projects and work independently.
• Communicates clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Effectively tailors the message to the needs of the audience.
• Planning, design, implementation and monitoring of strategies/development programs to achieve objectives.
• Innovative, aggressive desire for excellence, and self-motivated.
• Demonstrated record of product development success
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot field application problems
• Establishes goals and objectives which are specific, measurable, achievable and relevant.
• Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner.

Education and Experience
• BS, MS, or PhD Chemistry or Engineering Degree.
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience. Management experience is a plus.
• Activated Carbon experience is a plus.

Physical and Other Requirements:
• Typically sits or stands for extended amount of time in front of a computer.
• As needed, lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• May be required to move about to coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate or exchange ideas by means of verbal or written word to impart information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed instructions to other workers.
• Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of time.
